FTC disclosure

Affiliate disclosure

The short version: we earn a commission from Amazon when you buy through our links, it costs you nothing extra, and it has never changed a ranking.

Amazon Associates statement. Geared Gaming is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

How the links work

When you click a "View on Amazon" or "Check price on Amazon" button on this site, you go to Amazon with a tracking tag attached. If you then buy something, Amazon pays us a small percentage of the sale.

You pay exactly the same price either way.The commission comes out of Amazon's margin, not your wallet. It does not affect the price you are shown and it does not affect what Amazon charges you at checkout.

Which links earn us money, and which don't

We think most affiliate sites are deliberately vague about this, so here is the complete list.

Links that earn us a commission

  • Amazon — we earn a commission on qualifying purchases.

Links that earn us nothing

We link these because they are sometimes the right place to buy. We are not in their affiliate programmes, and we make zero money when you use these links. Where they appear on the site, they are styled as plain reference links rather than buttons, and we say out loud that we earn nothing.

  • Razer — we earn nothing here.
  • SteelSeries — we earn nothing here.
  • Logitech G — we earn nothing here.
  • Corsair — we earn nothing here.
  • HyperX — we earn nothing here.
  • Steam (Valve) — we earn nothing here.
  • Best Buy — we earn nothing here.
  • Newegg — we earn nothing here.

Telling you this is against our short-term interest and we are doing it anyway, because a site that hides which links pay it cannot credibly claim its rankings are independent.

Editorial independence

  • No brand pays for placement on this site. Ever. There is no rate card. There is nothing to buy.
  • No manufacturer sends us products, and no manufacturer sees our copy before it is published.
  • Commission rate has never moved a ranking. The proof is on the pages: we routinely rank cheap products above expensive ones that would pay us more, and we explicitly tell you when the cheaper option is good enough.
  • We recommend spending nothing where that is the right answer — for example, telling Steam Deck owners that the case in the box is fine, or that the USB-C hub already in their drawer will work.

About the prices you see

Prices on this site are fetched from Amazon's Product Advertising API on a daily schedule and stamped with the date they were retrieved. The most recent refresh was Jul 14, 2026.

Prices and availability change constantly. If our data is more than 48 hours old, we hide the number entirely and the button reverts to "Check price on Amazon" — we would rather show you nothing than a stale figure. The price and availability displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase is the one that applies.

How we label affiliate links

  • Every commercial page carries an #ad disclosure at the top, before any affiliate link.
  • Every product card carries an #ad · we may earn a commission note next to its buy button.
  • Every earning link is marked rel="sponsored nofollow"in the page source, as Google's policies require.
